Must be a Undergraduate or Graduate student. Community college students are also welcome.

You must have applied on our website emoryhacks.com BEFORE March 8th. You will be rejected at the door if you did not apply.

Project and Submission Requirements

1. 2 minute demo of your video

2. a live presentation of your work

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection

Relevance & Problem Fit (1-5)

How well does the project address a real need or problem? Does it provide a meaningful solution to the identified challenge?

Innovation & Creativity (1-5)

How original is the approach? Does the project demonstrate creative thinking or a novel application of technology?

Technical Implementation & Complexity (1-5)

How well-executed is the technical solution? Does the implementation demonstrate technical skill and appropriate complexity for the problem?

User Experience & Accessibility (1-5)

How intuitive and user-friendly is the solution? Is it accessible to the intended audience and considerate of diverse user needs?

Presentation & Overall Impact (1-5)

How effectively is the project communicated? Does the presentation clearly convey the value and potential impact of the solution?

 

One team will be chosen from each category as a winner.

Our hackathon is dedicated to providing a safe and comfortable environment and harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of the following:

We do not tolerate harassment of hackathon participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate at any hackathon venue, this includes the following.
  • hacks
  • talks, presentations, or demos
  • workshops
  • any parties associated to the hackathon
  • social media
  • any other online media
Hackathon participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the hackathon without a refund (if applicable) at the discretion of the hackathon organisers. If anyone is found to break these rules, or if you see anyone breaking these rules, please talk to event staff, message on discord, or email contactemoryhacks@gmail.com to notify us.
